History
Don and Mary Pigford started San Juan Nurseries 58 years ago with one main purpose: to provide the finest quality plant materials and the best service in the Farmington area. San Juan Nurseries was first located on the south end of town, as most businesses were at that time. As Farmington began to develop north, they purchased property on 20th St. where San Juan Nurseries’ home today was made.
San Juan Nurseries is still a growing family business today. The third generation, Donnie and Myra Pigford, who now own and operate the store, want to uphold all of the wonderful qualities that have kept Farmington and surrounding areas coming to San Juan Nurseries since 1951!
With emphasis on customer service and consistent unique product, San Juan Nurseries offers many wonderful product lines of which we are exclusive distributors for several, and all of our material is hand picked from sources throughout the country.

Community Involvement
Thru the years, San Juan Nurseries, Inc. has donated supplies to enhance our quality of living in San Juan County. Pigford Rose Garden on 20th St., the new landscaping at Pinion Hills Golf Course, the beautiful water garden of healing at the Connelly House and many of the trees at McGee Park are some of the locations where you have probably noticed our contributions. Other locations include selected medians in Farmington, Riverview Golf Course in Kirtland, and much more. We love San Juan County, and will always do what we can to continue to beautify this great place. You can help, too!
